About the RC Dusters - The RC Dusters Model Aircraft Flying Club is a group of modellers all interested in radio controlled airplanes and helicopters. Our club is located in the Sandwich area, and we are chartered through the Academy of Model Aeronautics, Charter 3875. Our members are passionate about all aspects of modelling, from building to flying.
Membership Requirements - All members of the RC Dusters Model Aircraft Flying Club must also be members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and must keep their membership current each calendar year. Annual dues to the Club are $40 per year for adults, and $20 per year for members under 18 years of age. Membership allows flying at any time at the Club Field, as well as voting in all Club business.
Club Field - Our Club Field is located in Northville Township, in Lasalle County, at the northeast corner of N 4375th Rd and E 2825th Rd, approximately 4 miles south of Sandwich, IL. The field is a 600ft by 100ft grass field, suitable for all types of model aircraft. There are safety nets, a frequency control board and setup stations. We also have a grill and picnic table on site, as well as portable restroom facilities.
Club Meetings - The RC Dusters Model Aircraft Flying Club holds its monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held at the Sandwich Park District Office, located at the corner of Latham St and Arnold St in Sandwich, Illinois. Meetings during the summer months are held at the flying field.
